I am Ronnie Siah, currently an Associate Group Director with Navis Living Group at Orange Tee & Tie Pte Ltd.
I started off my career in the automobile industry in 1992 as an apprentice. after my NS. 1 year later I was promoted from a junior technician to a senior technician a few years later. At that time, my job mainly is an assistant to the foremen to help him to carry out his job smoothly by supplying the required type of equipment that he needs. Every time after repair or service, I need to do area cleaning and housekeeping to maintain the safety regulation, Running errands like buying breakfast, lunch, and dinner is also one of the routines. I picked up my skills fast as I am qualified NTC 2 motor vehicle graduates and managed to conduct simple car servicing and minor repair after 3 months. I year later, I left and joined another automotive agency as a junior technician for 4 years. The company closed down and I was retrenched and paid a few months retrenchment fees. I am more experienced now so I applied for a senior technician post and was accepted. I worked with this new company for 5 years before I requested for an internal transfer to the customer service officer because of my back injuries. I had transformed from an apprentice who knows nothing till able to rectify and diagnose the fault of the vehicles and able to overhaul the engine and gearbox.

In 2002, I changed my new role to a customer service officer. The job scope is a bit different compared to diagnosing, repairing and replacing parts for the last 10 years but handling customer queries and complaints is another art that I need to master. I had glad during my time as a customer service officer, the company sent me to for several different customer services related courses. Words always come to my mind vividly, the customer is always right, be a good listener, understand their needs and wants, and provide extraordinary service with a caring and compassionate heart. Do not argue with them and maintain a positive and professional attitude. By doing that, you will be able to communicate and build a good customer relationship and solving their complaints will be a breeze. Some customers are my good friends and I had helped them upgraded their property portfolio too.

In 2009, I met Henry one of my friends who is in the real estate business for a few years. When he asked me whether I am interested to change line and joined him as his associate. I was in a dilemma at that time, he told me not to worry and he will guide me along and asked me to apply for the CES course first. I told up the challenge and passed during my first attempt.

It's not an easy decision to leave your comfort zone when you are 40+ at that time but some serious consideration I decided to join him in 2010. I felt that with the training that I had learned during my 18 years of experience in the Automotive Industry, I can put it in good use as a Real Estate consultant too. After 3 years of hard works in ERA, I became one of the Top 300 agents in 2013. I believed with my right mindset and attitude, I will succeed one way or another.
Fast forward to now, I have more than 10 years of experience in the real estate industry and well versed in resale HDB, private, and new launch property. Over the years, I had helped my clients to achieve financial freedom and create passive income streams by restructuring their real estate portfolio and minimize risks by leveraging the most suitable loans.
